Along with basic pay, SSC CGL officers get various allowances like House Rent Allowance (HRA), Travel Allowance, Dearness Allowance (DA), Medical Allowance, Special Security Allowance, etc.
HRA is provided to employees to meet their house rental needs. The HRA given to candidates differs as per the city in which they are posted. DA is the cost of living adjustment allowance and at present, it is 17 percent of the basic pay under the 7th Pay Commission.
