Mumbai : State Bank of India took another step on social media by launching the Twitter handle. This follows   earlier launch of SBI account on Facebook on the 7th November, 2013 and on YouTube on the 23rd January, 2014 which now allows the customers to have access through all the major social media channels. The Twitter handle for SBI is “https://twitter.com/TheOfficialSBI”

Targeting its huge customer base as well as potential customers, there will be round-the-clock tweets on the Banks’ products and services, as also continuous education of the customers. The content will also be made more broad based in the coming days

The Bank expects this Twitter handle to connect better with the tech-savvy young generation. With its strong online banking platform; this is another step towards increasing its presence in the cyberspace.
