Gillco International School has always focused on promoting the soundest exposure and opportunities to students in every genre to ensure they get a platform to showcase their skills. Students of the school have emerged with flying colours at cultural and sports events held at multiple levels.

Simreet Kaur (V-A) won two gold medals at the SGF State Skating Championships in Sports Arena (School Games Federation of India). This is a fantastic accomplishment as she engaged with fire and excitement, demonstrating excellent coordination and balance. She has also been chosen for the Nationals.

Another event, Inter School Group Singing Competition (Patriotic Songs) organised by SBI at Indradhanush Auditorium, Panchkula, saw the school choir (Classes 6 to 10) compete and win the second prize. About 25 schools from the Tri-City participated in this huge event and came out on top.

“Our students have been outstanding performers at events of every genre, and the credit goes to their hard work as well as teachers’ dedication in training them well. We always say that academics and extracurricular activities are equally important, so we strive to provide ample opportunities to our students. They have brought us immense pride by performing well and coming home with medals at the platforms provided,” said Ms. Ruchi Sharma, Principal, Gillco International School.

Extracurricular activities offer life lessons such as teamwork, accountability, self-confidence, responsibility, and self-discipline and contribute to overall personality development. Gillconians are always keen to take part in such endeavours. It was a marathon of accomplishments in which GIS students participated and left an unforgettable impression.
