  • The makers of SwampButt Underwear™ recently added a number of new colors to their line of popular men’s sweat wicking underwear and made a discovery in the process; those same colors match a whole lot of the nation’s colleges and universities who coincidentally have football programs. This serendipitous good fortune benefits the graduates, students, parents of students, faculty, staff, and fans of these institutions of higher learning. This is great on a lot of levels with benefits aplenty.

    Hide Your Shame

Some schools ask that graduates and fans wear the colors on Friday’s before a game. Those who prefer not to draw attention to themselves and the association with their school’s football team can wear a pair of SwampButt Underwear in that color, thereby honoring the tradition and avoiding defending the coach’s decision to go for it on fourth down or redshirt a senior quarterback. “If one’s team is not doing well this season, but you still love them like the flag, apple pie and your loyal old dog, wearing those colors under normal clothing is a possibility worth exploring,” said Nick Heraldson, corporate spokesperson and passive aggressive schemer at SwampButt Underwear.  “Know that you still love your team without showing your colors.”

    The End of ‘T-Shirt Fans’

T-shirt fans are those who follow and back a team from a college they did not attend. By wearing their schools’ colors under their clothing (with SwampButt Underwear Made in the USA Brand) they can still remain a fan without answering embarrassing questions, like, ‘did you graduate from the University of Texas?’ “It’s a well-known fact that most University of Texas fans did not attend, never mind graduate from there,” said Heraldson. “Actor Matthew McConaughey is a perfect example of a t-shirt fan. He didn’t graduate from Texas, but that does not prevent the people in Austin from cashing his checks.”

Over And Under But Mostly Under

For those whose school does not excel on the gridiron, avoiding conversations about what a bad year they are having is possible all while not sporting any outward sign that you went to Tennessee, Vanderbilt, UCLA, Rutgers or whatever doormat matriculated from. “This is the best of all possible worlds,” Heraldson said. “SwampButt Underwear in your college colors or colors that are close enough, let’s you remain a fan, but on the down low.”

SwampButt Underwear Made in the USA Colors

SwampButt Underwear Made in the USA Brand underwear now comes in:

    • Red
    • White
    • Grey
    • Black
    • Orange
    • Royal Blue
    • Navy Blue
    • Orange
    • Green
    • Lime Green
    • Purple
    • Yellow
    • Maroon
    • Camo

“We looked at this and said hey, we can take orange and blue and have Florida, Illinois, Auburn, or Boise State. We make maroon and white and had Texas A&M and Mississippi State, or red and white and had Houston, Alabama, Indiana and so on,” Heraldson said. “There were obviously a ton of ways to combine those colors and get other schools and teams. It’s so simple we can’t believe no one else has ever thought of this. But they didn’t and we did.”

The colors do not match the PMS colors of any school or team and are in no way intended to represent any type of endorsement by or for any of these institutions. It is as said above, a nice thing to be able to wear a school’s colors in underwear form.

All SwampButt Underwear Made in the USA brand are made in the USA, specifically Texas. SwampButt Underwear is made from polyester and lycra. The fabric contains 83% polyester and 17% Spandex. This is eight percent more Spandex than used in the original SwampButt Underwear designs, so the underwear is ‘stretchier.’ “When we moved manufacturing to the U.S. we felt that only other Americans could fully grasp the need for a bigger pair of underwear,” Heraldson said. “If only the airlines were as thoughtful and generous as we were when designing their seats for passengers, the world would be a better place.” SwampButt Performance Made in the USA garments are also made with ‘Microblok’ technology to prevent stinky drawers. MicroBlok inhibits the growth of bacteria on treated surfaces of products, greatly reducing stains, odors, and product deterioration.
