Mumbai : Anup Jalota, is a  household name for Bhajans and Ghazals. Trying something different, Anup Jalota took part in Big Boss Season 12. Big Boss Season 12 created a whole new generation of fans who got to see Anup Jalota in a different light. In a first for Bhajan Samrat and Padmashree awardee Anup Jalota will be performing at “Tarane” a live retro bollywood song nite with famous yesteryear playback singer Usha Timothy. “Tarane” will be held on 18th May 2019 at Yashwant Natya Mandir, Matunga(W) 8pm onwards.

“Tarane” is hosted by Ta Ra Rum entertainment, a start up event Management Company focused on Bollywood musical live concerts. Aanchal Malik Director, Ta Ra Rum entertainment shared, “Anup Jalota is a versatile singer who can sing bhajans, devotional songs and effortlessly transition to Bollywood Songs. We are aiming to showcase this versatility of Jalotaji and tap into his new found fan base in the younger generation and expose them to the melodious retro bollywood songs.”

Bhajan Samrat Anup Jalota will be sharing the stage with vetran Bollywood singer Usha Timothy. She began her career in the film Himalay Ki Godmein (1965). She has sung 5,000 songs in over 52 films in multiple Indian languages such as Hindi, Malayalam, Punjabi, Bhojpuri and Marathi etc. Her major work was with Kalyanji Anandji for whom she sang many hit songs in the 1970s most of them duets with Mohammed Rafi.

“Tarane” Bollywood retro songs will be also introducing two upcoming talented singers Ashish Mishra and Sakshi Tiwari. Ta Ra Rum entertainment has future plans to host more such events with famous celebrity singers and upcoming talent.
