Mumbai : L&T Technology Services inaugurated the new Global Engineering Service Center (GESC) in Chennai, India. Through this GESC, Takata continues to demonstrate its commitment to true globalization to best serve its worldwide customers through safety systems innovations and reducing time-to-market.
Over the next five-years, the GESC will focus on expansion and optimization of the facility to provide value, efficiency and support making it an advance Global Development Centre for Takata. During that period, L&T Technology Services will provide mechanical and electronics engineering services for Takata technical centers located in Japan, the United States and Germany . The center will enhance global engineering research and development capabilities for next-generation automobile occupant safety and protection systems.
While speaking on the occasion, Mr Claus Rudolf, Executive Vice President, Global Engineering, TAKATA, said, “We are continuously looking on a global basis to strengthen our commitment to improve and innovate engineering in automobile safety systems. What we are announcing here today in Chennai moves us closer to our dream of one day achieving a society with zero fatalities from traffic accidents.”
Acknowledging the new GESC as a one-of-a-kind in the specialized category of passenger safety equipment and processes, Dr. Keshab Panda, Chief Executive of L&T Technology Services said, “We are proud of this strategic global partnership .
