Chennai: Brooke Bond Red Label Tea believes that Tea serves as a catalyst to bond with your loved ones and fire up conversations. This is exactly what Amitabh Bacchan and Deepika Padukone did at a recent meet & greet hosted by Brooke Bond Red Label as a concluding session of the highly successful contest that gave winners a chance to meet the dynamic duo of the movie – PIKU.

The month long television contest included a TVC where the PIKU actors asked the viewers to give a miss call on a designated number and win a chance to meet them. The response was overwhelming with over 10 lakh entries from around the country that finally narrowed down 10 lucky winners. These winners were invited to meet the stars at an intimate tea session in Mumbai. At the event, both the stars spoke about their highly applauded movie, Piku, which beautifully captures the relationship between a father and his daughter.

While interacting with her fans and the winners, Deepika shared details on the first cup of tea she had with a special someone. She said, “Tea reminds me of my grandfather. As children, we would go to his house in Bangalore and tea was always being made in the kitchen for either him or for the guests. On days that he would not make tea, I could tell the difference because in my opinion, making chai is a very personal thing. It’s a mood thing.”
