MEDFIELD, MA:Tech Advisors (www.tech-adv.com), a leading technology solution provider for small to mid-sized businesses founded by CPAs and specializing in providing IT and technology services to the CPA field, today announced the appointment of Catherine Kontogiannis to the position of Help Desk Technician.

In this capacity, she works to support client requests for their IT needs.

Prior to recently joining Tech Advisors, she was a Dell Field Service Technician, traveling locally to perform warranty repair work on laptops, desktops and servers.

The Medfield area resident traces her fascination with technology and repairing things to her childhood in southern Arizona, recalling that her father brought home a computer, gave her a book on programming and urged her to figure it out. Later, after earning a Bachelor’s degree from Barry University in Miami, her career included teaching Technology Engineering for grades 5-12 in Dartmouth, MA, and she also taught students about coding. After completing a series of Cisco Network Academy courses and earning her CompTII A+ certification, she set out to pursue work in the field of IT.

During the pandemic, this mother of three volunteered at her church to find a way to offer livestream services to the community; she and her youngest son have been streaming multiple services weekly.  This has allowed family members to attend socially distanced weddings, baptisms and memorial services. In her spare time, she also enjoys quilting, knitting and baking, and in particular making homemade bread and pastries.
