  • The ‘Aayas Prayas Trust’ Conferred Pratibha Awards Online

    The ‘Aayas Prayas Trust’, Jasola Vihar organized Online Pratibha Awards to recognise the sports-based talent of children associated with the trust. Ayas Prayas charitable trust is an organisation engaged in providing holistic education by keeping the all-round development of underprivileged children continuously in focus. The selfless, dedicated volunteers teach children every day and even in these testing times, they keep them engaged in the online classes, the new normal. They also ensure that the  Books and other essential items which facilitate learning are provided to the students from time to time.

     The distinguished cricket player, Mr Kapil Dev graced the occasion of Pratibha Awards as the chief guest. Shri Kapil Dev captained the first World Cup win for India in 1983 and made India a force to reckon with in the world of cricket. Ms Padma Srinivasan, Principal of Delhi Public School, Ram Krishna Puram consented to be the special guest to encourage the children with her charismatic presence.

    Students were given prizes on their performance in various events like sports-based speech competition, app-based race competition, Walkathon, Google-based sports quiz and drawing competition. 150 children took part in the competition.  All the sports competitions were held online due to Covid pandemic. The students presented the importance of sports, physical exercise and yoga through various competitions and performances. The children showcased musical yoga dance, patriotic dance and dance based on the Clean Ganga campaign.

    Mr Kapil Dev in his talk told the children that one must believe in Karma and Struggles that we face in our everyday life and should feel fortunate to have the small blessings of life. We should share 5 per cent of what we have with others.

    Ms Padma Srinivasan in her address said that it is the duty of every citizen of this country to give what we receive. She asked the children to remain indebted to this country which has given so much and in return,  must contribute in any capacity we can to keep the tricolour fly higher and higher in the coming years.

    Mr Kapil Dev wished the children all the best for the upcoming examinations. Ms Padma Srinivasan promised to provide necessary education-related support to make learning a pleasure for these underprivileged children.
