Her debut solo show “Eloquence of Soul” in 2013, and her debut novel “Two Tales” in the year 2014 were well received both by peers and readers alike. Anjana Chandak, a B.Tech graduate in Interior Design established a successful niche for herself in the profession that provided an ideal platform and environment to polish and pursue her aesthetic and creative calling for art and design. Her studio, “Ajuni,” reflects her eclectic personality and her passion for the art, giving her the opportunity to explore and express her fervor for colour, texture and form. She has provided her clients the creative direction to transform their homes into living spaces that had a strong aesthetic sense and vibe.

“The vicissitude of accepting challenges thrown at you by life is a journey of self discovery through out the celebration called life. The evolution of experiencing innate joy is a very personal emotion which conveys a vibe to all stimuli around – that exalted space takes form as Tapestry of Silence” says, Mr. Kiran Bagade, Curator and Director, Nivriti-The Art Quarter.

The series of 16 paintings are distinctive in the way they have been created. The Kabir series and the Danseuse series are depictional of life in various shades peculiar to every individual figurine in the series. The musical instruments are motifs of rejuvenation and sparkle in every individual’s craving for joy within. The engagement is with the metaphor of wanting and angst to seek higher levels of pure bliss.

This series of paintings clearly evoke undercurrents of subdued passion to indulge in the cheerfulness of melody, moods and self-actualization. The textured strokes in the series, now have come to be identified as the signature style and application of Anjana Chandak, whilst the frenzy of understated colors, both bright and luminous convey culmination of indulgence and the pursuits of the soul.

The complete series is a poignant essay of visual contemplation balanced with the philosophy of tempered frenzy. The artworks will be on display at Chitrakala Parishath from July 8th – 12th, 2015 from 10 am – 7pm.
