     The grandest celebration in Marathi Cinema, the RR Kabel Filmfare Awards Marathi 2024 unfolded with much fanfare at the Mahakavi Kalidas Natyamandir in Mumbai on April 18. This unforgettable evening was hosted by the charismatic duo of Amey Wagh and Siddharth Chandekar, who elevated the entertainment quotient a notch higher with their playful banter, quirky antics, and hilarious quips.

    Further adding on to the excitement, the evening featured breath-taking performances from some of Marathi cinema’s most gifted artists. Prajakta Mali stole the show, her grace evident as she danced in a traditional saree, performing the intricate ‘Lavani Thaska.’ Adding a dynamic touch, Prathana Behere and Shruti Marathe took to the stage with synchronized flair, captivating the audience with their rendition of ‘Nach ga ghuma.’ Vaibhav Tatwawadi delivered a powerful act, brimming with the essence of a spirited ‘Marathi Tadka.’ For those eager to experience the glamour and excitement, tune into Colors Marathi on 5th May at 7 pm.

    The RR Kabel Filmfare Awards Marathi 2024 shone with key victories, electrifying the audience throughout the evening. The excitement peaked as the winner of the Best Film was announced, marking a moment of triumph for the acclaimed film Aatmapamphlet and Baipan Bhari Deva. The evening continued to highlight exceptional talent with awarding Ashish Avinash Bende as the Best Director for his exceptional movie Aatmapamphlet, the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) award went to Shashank Shende for his riveting portrayal in Baaplyok. Adding to the night’s elegance, the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) was awarded to the talented Gauri Deshpande. Ankush Chaudhary secured the prestigious Black Lady in the category for Best Actor (Critics’), whereas Rohini Hattangadi won the Best Actress (Critics’). Additionally, the Critics’ Award for Best Film was proudly bestowed upon Naal 2 and Baaplyok. Jayesh Khare and Mayur Sukale known for his mesmerizing voice won the award for Best Playback Singer (Male), and the soulful Nandini Srikar won for Best Playback Singer (Female).

    As we celebrated the achievements of Marathi cinema, the red carpet simultaneously came alive with industry figures showcasing their unique style statements. Among the many glamorous faces present were Suhas Joshi, Ankush Choudhary, Rinku Rajguru, Gauri Nalawade, Adityanath Kothari, Tejasswi Prakash, Sonali Kulkarni, Deesha Katkar, Kishori Shahane, Hardik Joshi, amongst others, each adding their own spark to the event’s dazzling ambiance.
