  • Top 5 B2B Tech Startups in India focusing on Faster Construction

    Published on June 17, 2022

Building your dream home can be a long and tedious journey. For those starting with a vacant plot, a simple house construction can take a full year easily. Even those buying a newly constructed home or apartment typically need to wait for a few months for entire interiors to be completed.

Homes are also typically the most expensive asset that most of us purchase in our lifetimes. Homeowners typically spend 85-90% of their overall budget for their dream homes on the basic structure, without counting for furniture and other interior fixtures.

While the home construction market has historically been untouched by modern technology, a bunch of tech-enabled startups in recent years have emerged with the promise to help homeowners realise their dream homes faster and at lower costs. Even if 10-minute deliveries are not possible in this industry, many of these startups are promising to use technology to shrink construction times by as much as 40%, resulting in both lower costs and faster delivery of a dream home.

Many of these startups have so far targeted end-users or homeowners themselves. But now, a new generation of B2B tech startups are targeting contractors. These startups use technology to help contractors accurately predict the time and resources required for any project, manage manpower and materials, and optimise their asset utilization, which in turn leads to faster and more effective completion of projects.

Below, we list five young Indian tech-enabled B2B startups that are simplifying the process of home construction and disrupting this space through innovation:
