Bangalore– In order to enhance the quality of education facilities in the local community, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) handed over Sports and other First Aid material to 110 government and aided schools. The equipment, distributed to the schools today, intends to benefit as many students as possible in primary and secondary schools.

Present at the occasion to felicitate the initiative were, Mr. Naveen Soni, Vice President EA & CSR, Toyota Kirloskar Motor,Mr. Sailesh Shetty VP HR, Divisional Coordinator,Toyota Kirloskar Motor, Dr. Kowshik Kupatira, Medical Officer, Mr. Yusuke Wada Coordinator TKM, Mr. Shivarame Gowda Education Officer Ramanagara, Mr. MG Kumar Swamy Block Education Officer Ramanagara, Block Resource Coordinator, Cluster Resource Persons of Bidadi and Head Masters from all 110 schools.

Commenting on the occasion Mr. Naveen Soni, Vice President EA & CSR, Toyota Kirloskar Motor.  said “As a responsible corporate citizen, Toyota Kirloskar Motor is constantly working towards the development of people, communities, and the earth at large. Our aim is to provide continuous support the local community, therefore the distribution of sports and other First Aid materialis aimed atenhancing the all-rounddevelopment of rural children which in-turn will improve the quality of their future.”

On receiving the contribution Head Master from Government High School Bidadi said “Bringing balance between quality education and extracurricular activities in a safe environment is one of the crucial issues that need to be tackled to mold our future generation. We are grateful to have Toyota step forward and take up an initiative like this that helps in providing the rural children with a better tomorrow”.

A key part of Toyota Kirloskar Motor’s CSR focus areas is Education. In the year2000, TKM reconstructed a residential school in Byramangala village. As part of its ongoing efforts to support the local community, every year Toyota Kirloskar Motor donates school books and bags to the local school children. In 2014, 45000 notebooks and 1000 bags were distributed to more than 9500 school children of identified 128 schools in Ramanagara Taluk. In addition, TKM also distributed school shoes & socks to 1000 school children.

In 2014, the company also reconstructed GLPS Medanahalli and AshramaPatashale school in Hosadoddivillage.
