“With the recent demonetization decision giving an impetus towards going digital, it is absolutely necessary to ensure that the people of the country are prepared to take on this digital revolution. It goes without saying that the country’s economic success lies in the hands of its people, and that empowering them with the right set of skills is a necessary condition for the country to benefit. We, therefore, hope and expect the Government to provide tax exemption for investments made in the Learning and Development sector. In addition, procurement of simulators, multimedia and e-learning should be made cost effective and easily available for training providers.” – Basanth Govindapillai, VP & GM – India Operations, SumTotal Systems
