New Delhi : UP Prison Department, has today bagged the prestigious FICCI Smart Policing Award 2021 at FICCI in New Delhi. AI platform JARVIS won the honor in the ‘Prison Reforms’ category, getting recognized for its services to the UP Prison Department, helping them bolster their law enforcement efforts while driving effective COVID-19 response in the state.

Shri Anand Kumar, IPS, DG Prison, UP Police Department, commented, “The deployment of JARVIS has been instrumental in helping us seamlessly scale and strengthen our security and safety operations within the prison. The AI powered integrated command and control center and distributed easy-to-use mobile applications of JARVIS have made security and safety activity monitoring more efficient, helping us take actions in real-time to not only mitigate but also avert untoward incidences from taking place. Not only this, it continues to empower us to drive effective and timely COVID-19 response and identify defaulters who not follow the Covid-19 norms. Hosted annually, the FICCI Smart Policing Award ceremony aims to promote the initiatives taken by the police departments in India for the safety and security of the country’s citizens. This year, the ceremony received entries from 36 State and UT Police Forces and 3 Central Armed Police Forces across various categories.
