    Tirumala Tirupathi Devastanam is to organize ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam’ here at Paloncha, Khammam Disrict. The auspicious program will be held on Friday, 18th January 2013 at KTPS Vidyut Kalabharathi Grounds, Paloncha from 6pm informed Mr. Nagendar Rao Mahipathi and Dr. Subashini, Trustees, Mahipathi Foundation.

    The Srinivasa Kalyanam is being organized under the Sri Kalyanotsavam Project. For people of Paloncha and adjoining places, who for some reason can’t travel to Tirupati to seek the Lord’s blessings and witness the Lord’s wedding it is an opportunity to witness the ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam’ in a grand and most authentic manner, said Mr. Nagendar Rao Mahipathi.

    The ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam’ is being organized for the welfare of the society. TTD Vedic priests will be performing the Srinivasa Kalyanam with the utsava vigrahalu (idols) brought from Tirupathi. ‘Prasadam’ will be served to devotees after the ceremony. Tirupathi Laddu prasadam will also be given. The pious program is being organized for the well being of all citizens of Khammam and is totally free. Everyone is welcome to come and participate in the celestial wedding of Lord Srinivasa (Lord Sri Venkateswara) with Goddess Padmavati, said Dr. Subashini.

    It will be great opportunity for the people who might not have witnessed the ceremony at Tirupathi to see the marriage of Lord Sri Venkateswara with Goddess Padmavati taking place before their eyes right here in Paloncha.

    Elaborate arrangements have been made to conduct the kalyanam as per the traditional practices followed at TTD. Eminent Guests, TTD Officers and other members from TTD will participate in the programme. Priests Mallikarjuna Daita, Kalyana Sriniva Vedantam, Sridhar Paramkusam, Venkata Sarath Kavaturi, Sundara Bhattar, Ramanan Sundara Srinivasan, Chandra Mouli Murukambattu from TTD will conduct the ceremony.

    Nagendar Rao Mahipathi and his wife Dr. Subashini Mahipathi, a MD in Family Medicine have been living in USA for the past fifteen years. They belong to Paloncha / Kothagudem in Khammam District. They have been contributing a lot for the social causes. Mahipathi Foundation floated by them has been organizing Medical Camps, Service Programs in India and USA.
