New Delhi : Vistara today announced the launch of services to Pune as a new destination to its rapidly expanding route network. From April 9, 2015, Vistara will operate daily on the Delhi-Pune-Delhi route with flights open for booking from today. With the latest addition of Pune in its route network, customers can now book Vistara flights from Delhi to a total of 7 destinations- Pune, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Goa, Hyderabad and Guhawati & Bagdogra.
After thorough deliberations on the various requests received from the airports, trade and consumers alike, inviting Vistara to operate to their cities, Pune has been added to our network. Pune is a fast growing city of great promise and potential which has recently been ranked higher in the overall quality of life across categories of political, economic and social environment as well as housing and medical provisions, in comparison to some of the key metros, making it a next destination of choice to our existing network. We are confident the travellers between Pune and Delhi will welcome the opportunity to enjoy the quintessential Vistara experience.
Speaking on this occasion, Mr Phee Teik Yeoh, CEO, Vistara said: “We received a very enthusiastic response from customers when we recently launched flights to Goa and Hyderabad, clearly indicating such cities are fast emerging as attractive destinations for leisure and corporate travelers. Pune has some of the well-developed conglomerates present and is one of the major modern cities in India. For Vistara, these places showcase immense potential as their robust infrastructure and good quality of life ultimately attracts more travel.”
Vistara’s A320 aircraft deployed on the route has a capacity of 148 seats and are configured with 16 Business Class seats, 36 Premium Economy seats and 96 Economy seats, which is 20 percent less compared to many of the single aisle aircraft operators in order to provide greater comfort and personal space to its customers. By the end of this calendar year, the total fleet size will grow to nine aircraft enabling an organic expansion plan in both metros and non-metros.
