Ahmedabad:GESIA IT Association, the leading body representing the ICT industry of Gujarat, has announced the appointment of its new office bearers for 2016-2018. Vivek Ogra, Managing Director of VBSOFT (India) Ltd. has taken over as the Chairman & Director of the association while Maulik Bhansali from NetWeb Software Pvt. Ltd is the new Vice Chairman & Director.

Tejinder Oberoi of Cygnet Infotech Pvt. Ltd. is the new Secretary and Director, and Bharat Patel of Yudiz Solutions Pvt. Ltd is the Joint Secretary & Director.  Nilay Patel from Easy Pay Pvt. Ltd has been appointed the Treasurer and Director.

The new team is guided by the objective to bring forth Gujarat’s role as a flagbearer in IT & ITeS. “With enhanced opportunities in new emerging technologies and innovation, GESIA IT Association has sensed scope for   companies in the state to take the lead in IT growth. Activity will center round tapping avenues of business in data analytics, technology and software solutions and product development. The association has decided to give impetus and thrust to member companies for business  expansion and project them in the right league to compete nationally and highlight the capacity of state-based companies to cater to sector needs,” said Mr. Vivek Ogra.

“The central government decision to build smart cities is also a large project that will open up avenues of collaboration and knowledge-sharing with global leaders” added Mr. Ogra.
