Mumbai: This season Vizyon takes you on a journey to The Golden Agewith a collection that combines seamlessly a retro and futuristic aesthetic. Brought together by Shradha Murarka and Ninon Palisse, the newest collection from Vizyon titled “The Golden Age” was showcased at Lakme Fashion Week on Friday 19^th August 2011 at 3pm.

Essentially inspired by the beauty and intricacies of art deco jewellery, architecture and the paintings of Tamara de Lempicka, Vizyon’s latest collection The Golden Age boasts of avant-garde silhouettes that play ingeneously with symmetry and geometry. Elegant lines and sensual drapes are blended with structured silhouettes and pleats with a futuristic feel.

Ninon Palisse, a young talent discovered by the Vizyon team, has created a contemporary and couture collection that exudes modernity and luxury.  She has earned her laurels working with the greatest names of French Fashion. “My inspiration for this Fall Winter collection came  from Fritz Lang’s Metropolis heroine with the Art Deco and retro-futuristic   aesthetic using a combination of feminine soft waves to sharp and strong lines” says Ninon Palisse, Designer of The Golden Age.

The sparkling jewelled tones, spanning from emerald green and sapphire blue to glossy black, romantic pink, warm burgundy, vibrant magenta and radiant yellow, create a sophisticated colour palette that exude a sense of nouveau glamour.  Hints of gold shine through intricate embroideries, resplendent leather and lamé sheaths that add an element of rich vibrancy to the collection. Shradha Murarka and Ninon Palisse have created a profusion of cocktail wear and sophisticated red carpet gowns in luscious fabrics from glossy silk satin to soft organzas, metallic fabrics and precious chiffons. The entire collection is accessorized with architectural heels that promise to create a statement this fashion season. Combining innovative shapes with bold construction, the shoes are an eclectic mix of art deco chic with futuristic glam.
