Hyderabad : India’s top B school – Indian Institute of Management Bangalore’ s Leadership Summit – IIMBue will be held on 17th and 18th December. IIMBue is the IIM Bangalore Alumni Association’s its Second Alumni Leadership Conclave.  Theme of the conclave is “Start, Scale and Disrupt”

IIMBue will see an array of star speaker sharing their views. Shri Piyush Goyal, Union minister for Power, Coal, Renewable Energy and Mines will be the keynote speaker during IIMBue. He would share his views on the leadership mantra in mature institutions.

While leading Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone will talk about how to leverage leadership and create an impact. The other highlight speakers in this mega event would be Kiran Mazumdar Shaw, chief patron of IIMB, business tycoon Mr. Kumar Mangalam Birla, the CEO of Niti Aayog Mr. Amitabh Kant, Mohandas Pai of Aarin Capital Partners, Bhavish Aggarwal cofounder and CEO Ola cabs and journalist Shekhar Gupta.

IIMBue will see alumnus converging from all over the globe to Bangalore for a weekend of nostalgia, entertainment and discussions. Most of IIMB alumnus now are at very senior positions across the globe at CXO levels. A gathering of such an elite crowd is expected to generate ideas to shape the national and international agendas.

IIMBue 2016 would be the 2nd version of the event and was launched nationally today from Hyderabad. Hyderabad was chosen for the launch because the Hyderabad chapter of IIMB Alumni headed by Mr. Bhanu Varla is a strong and active 350-member chapter.

Mr. Navin Kumar (PGP 1999), the convener of IIMBue’16 highlighted how IIMBue this year is grander and about 30% bigger this year. He outlined how the topics start, scale and disrupt cover the complete journey of a business. Mr. Navin says that we are laying foundations to take IIMBue to the World Economic Forum level.

He highlighted that IIMBue this year has introduced a dedicated session on theme based networking. This means that this IIMBue not only you get a chance to listen to excellent speakers but also you have more opportunities to network, find new job opportunities or even find your next client and expand your business.

Mr. Prashant Bairy secretary of Hyderabad IIMB Alumni Chapter pointed out that apart from the huge RoI of such an event of this stature, it’s also a yearly opportunity to reconnect back to old memories.

Mr. Bhanu Varla highlighted the importance of IIMBue to maintain alumni engagement. He told that IIMBue helps to engage with the institute more actively and would also help increase IIMB’s position in the industry. He says like always the Hyderabad chapter will be one of the biggest attendees at IIMBue.
