KFC announced its 13th consecutive quarter of positive sales growth with the brand recording a 23% system sales growth in India and area countries. For the full year ended 31st Dec 2019, KFC has delivered a 22% sales growth. 2019 was another strong year for the brand as we continued to drive sales momentum and add more KFCs to our restaurant portfolio. The fundamentals of the brand remain strong, built with a clear focus on Core Innovation (big winners like Double Down & Red Hot Chicken), growing digital sales through owned assets & aggregator partnerships, making the brand more accessible with many more KFCs, in both new & existing cities, and strengthening the brand credentials with distinctive marketing campaigns with our own unique Colonel Sanders. As a category first, KFC has taken the commitment to move out of all customer facing plastic by 2020, with huge progress made in 2019 already. We partner closely with our world class franchise partners, who are deeply invested in strengthening & growing our brand with our always winning customer experience. We continue to believe in the India story and are optimistic about building the KFC brand for the long term.
