Although Instagram is now a part of everyday life for many, some of the most frequently asked questions are still, “how often should we post?”, “When in the day should we post?” And “what type of content creates Instagram post engagement?”
Instagram is still the social media that most companies prefer in planning and implementing the marketing strategy on social media. On Instagram, there are literally thousands of apps that can assist companies with their marketing efforts. But, despite the endless possibilities, many companies are still learning “the basics”, and many companies are particularly interested in getting better at engaging their fans.
Some people think that the best time to post is when your fans are not at work, and they are usually between 8-19. Against this background, the best time to post is between 20-07, but since your fans most likely sleep between 00-06, then the ideal time for posts should be between 20-23: 59. However, it is always a good idea to test different times for posts, as it will vary greatly from target group to target group.
Most brands post regularly during the week. But is it wise? According to the survey, the engagement rate is highest on Wednesdays and Sundays , so if you post regularly, it would be a good idea to test the two days and how they work in relation to your target group.
Tip: Remember that you can schedule your upcoming updates on Instagram so you do not have to post manually.
According to the study, 1 or 2 posts a day get a 32% higher “like” rate and 73% higher “comment” rate, compared to brands that post more than 3 times a day. But here it is important to remember that this study is made on the basis of studies of top 100 brands in the world, and most of them from the US retail trade. In that market, you are used to more noise than we are in Denmark. Therefore, we rarely recommend 1-3 posts a day.
Posts shorter than 80 characters get 66% higher engagement. So, keep it short!
We wrote about lengths on what was written online last week – dive even more into that discipline here .
Dialog-based questions that ask questions generate more than twice as much user engagement than updates that do not contain questions. Read more here https://skfollowerspro.in/
One of the least used post-techniques is “intention in the blank” – for example: “I like (…)”, but it is one of the techniques that creates the highest commitment. Data show that this type of post generates 9 times more comments than other types of posts.
Updates using an image alone or plain text achieve the highest engagement rate. Somewhat surprisingly, posts consisting of text only get 94% higher engagement than average.
