  • Mumbai : Billabong High International School recently witnessed “Grandparents Tea Party”, a celebration by GTPT Image 2Senior KG students. This occasion was organized specially to allow grandparents to have an unmediated experience of their grandchild’s school. The merry theme of ‘Circus’, ensured there was no dearth of fun and frolic as grandparents at their adventurous best  arrived in funny and wild attires donning motley clothes, clown wigs, red noses and moustaches, befitting the occasion.

Along with Mrs. Sujata Lakhani, Principal, Billabong High International School; a gigantic clown cut-out welcomed the guests at the entrance after which they were led to the classrooms where fun activities such as colouring the clown’s face, magic painting on bookmarks and song and dance awaited them. ‘Pin the Nose on the Clown’, ‘Beanbag Toss’ and ‘Ring the Elephant’ were games that set the party in motion. Towards the end, some grandparents could not but help sharing their childhood memories and days in school which were quite different from what their progenies are fortunate to experience.

After a sumptuous spread of snacks and tea, Grandparents were presented a souvenir of a zebra-printed photoframe to enshrine the memories of this day.
