New Delhi ( Hindusthan Samachar):  Ram is back in the BJP agenda.

The BJP manifesto released here today carefully has put Ram at the end of it. They mention not only Ram Mandir but also Ram Setu.

Asked whether Ram has been abandoned, Murli Manohar Joshi, who has drafted the document, said, “Read the manifesto. This is part of our cultural heritage”.

The manifesto mentions that BJP would explore “all possibilities within the framework of the Constitution to facilitate the construction of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya”. In a separate tete-e-tete, Joshi said that the supreme court had accepted the existence of the site as the birth place of Ram as per archaeological evidence.

The excavation at Ramjanmabhoomi was done by archaeologist late Dr SP Gupta. It had yielded evidence of a temple, ascribed to Lord Vishnu, below the disputed structure.

About Ram Setu the manifesto states that “it is a part of our cultural heritage and also of strategic importance due to its vast thorium deposits. These facts will be taken into consideration while taking any decision on “SethuSamudram channel” project.

Other issues of culture are cleaning and preserving Ganga, cow and its progeny and Indian languages.
