    mea-chinaExternal Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj proposes a six point “template” to broad base Sino-India engagement with an action oriented approach to usher in Asian century including opening the second route for the Kailash-Manasarovar Yatra is also on agenda.

    Inaugurating India-China Media forum in Beijjing, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, on Sunday, said the relations between the two countries have grown beyond bilateral and regional dimension.

    To initiate a new century of mutual learning, Swaraj suggested a six point template to broad base India- China engagement with an action oriented approach to usher in Asian century.

    For the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra route, She said there is an understanding to open an additional route for the Yatra.

    Underscoring the age old ties between the two countries, Swaraj said both India and China play a larger international role and contacts and dialogues between the two countries must comprehensively grow.

    She added the relationship with key neighbors requires strong and broad based support from people of both the countries.

    On the defence relations between the two countries, the External Affairs Minister said that the government has made considerable progress in establishing and expanding defence contacts and exchanges.

    She added the government is committed in exploring early settlement for boundary disputes with China.
