  • Ahmedabad Glitters with Kalyan Jewellers new showroom Bollywood Shehensha, Amitabh Bachchan inaugurates

    Pushing up the cadence of its retail foray, and keeping the festive season in mind, Kalyan Jewellers– the leading jewellery brand in South India, today inaugurated its first store outside South India in Ahmedabad,a new paradigm in jewellery retail. Kalyan Jewellers landscapes 20,000 square feet of sheer BIS Hallmarked jewellery, at Ambavadi in Ahmedabad. The store was inaugurated by  Bollywood Shehensha Shri. Amitabh Bachchan.

    Speaking on the occasion Mr. T. S. Kalyanaraman, Chirman&Managing Director, Kalyan Jewellers said,”We at Kalyan try to give the best to our consumers through our products and services. Customers are our pride and the Kalyan Jewellers store is ourendeavor to make their shopping experience hassle free, comfortable and unique. Our company and its products are synonymous with trust and purity in a category that is fraught with questionable practices.”

    After Ahmedabad, the company plans to open three more showrooms with an investment ofRs.300 crores in Rajkot, Vadodara and Surat by the end of this financial year. Kalyan Jewellers are targeting 100 stores spread across the world by 2015.Kalyan Jewellers  are engaged in retailing of gold, silver, platinum, diamond and pearl jewellery.

    T.S.Kalyanaraman,ventured into jewellery retailing in the in the year 1993 with KalyanJewellers. Today spread over South India – Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh-Kalyan  Jewellers has 37 branches and had a turnover of around 9437 crores inthe financial year ended on 31st March 2012. Kalyan Jewellers is targeting a turnover of 16000 crores for the next financial year. Mr. Kalyanaraman, Chairman and Managing director is assisted by his two sons – Mr. Rajesh Kalyanaraman, and Mr. Ramesh Kalyanaraman.

    Kalyan has been at the forefront of pioneering efforts to educate the public ofcheating and malpractices in gold quality and pricing through their campaign‘Fight Against Impure Gold”.

    These campaigns were endorsed by legends of South Indian cinema like Nagarjuna,Prabhu, Sivrajkumar, Mammootty and Dileep. Kalyan Jewellers has recently signed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Amitabh Bachchan to endorse these campaigns on a national scale.
