All India Major Ports Football & Basketball C’ship kick starts

The 8th All India Major Ports Football and Basketball Championships gets 
underway at Visakhapatnam today.
In the inaugural session of the football match between the host Visakhapatnam and Mumbai held this morning, two-time champion Visakhapatnam Port defeated Mumabi Port by 4-0.
For Visakhapatnam Port, Santosh Kumar scored two goals in the 20th and 23rd minutes. The first goal was scored by Srinivas in the 4th minute of the match. Vijayakumar sealed the result in favour of the hosts with the 4th goal in the 29th minute.
In the second match of the day Paradeep gave a walkover to Cochin Port technical grounds.
Eight major ports, Chennai, Cochin, Kolkata, Marmagoa, Mumbai, Paradeep, Tuticorin and Visakhapatnam are taking part in the eighth edition of the championships.
