    Anita Borg Institute Announces Registration Is Now Open for Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing India

    Palo Alto, California:  Registration is now open for the 2nd Annual Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing India (GHCI). The annual conference, presented by the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology, is the world’s largest gathering of women in computing. The Grace Hopper Celebration India will take place from December 14-16, 2011 at the KTPO Trade Centre, Bangalore, India. This year’s theme “What Next…?” recognizes that innovation in technology arises from the question what comes next in the evolution of technology and the culture of technology.

    The Grace Hopper Celebration is designed to bring the research and career interests of women in computing to the forefront. Leading researchers present their current work, while special sessions focus on the role of women in today’s technology fields, including computer science, information technology, research and engineering. The technical conference features well known keynote speakers, panels, workshops, technical posters, birds of a feather sessions and an Awards Celebration.

    Highlights of the Conference will include Women Entrepreneur Quest; 64 Conference sessions, a Technical Poster session and over 250 speakers.

    All GHC India attendees are invited to submit their resumes into this year’s resume database. The resumes submitted will be available to GHC India sponsors, and they may contact you for interviews at the conference.

    The 2010 Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing India attracted 600 participants from India and other countries. The 2011 conference is expected to attract over 1500 technical women
