New Delhi: Ashvamedha, a thriller by Aparna Sinha was launched on 8th of September at the Constitution Club of India. The book published by Srishti Publications is the story of a man who became the most powerful person on earth, by a faceless enemy, only so he can be destroyed in the end. The Delhi President of BJP, Mr. Satish Upadhyay along with was the chief guest at the occasion. Mr. Nitishwar Kumar, Mr. Diwan Singh Bajeli, Theatre Critic and writer and Mr.  Aroop Bose CEO Srishti Publications were also present during the occasion.

Ashvamedha is a story revolving around Ashwin Jamwal, who joined politics after struggling as an honest IAS officer. While sticking firm to his ground, Ashwin strived hard to excel in political arena. After eight years in politics he became the Prime Minister of India. During his second term a global crisis put him in a controlling position and he gradually became “the most powerful man” in the world. What Ashwin didn’t know that for last 25 years there was somebody, called ‘Hades’, who instrumented all events around him ; starting from his entry in politics to global control. There was somebody who made him powerful; only to destroy him, for a bigger agenda.

The entire book is divided in three parts. First part of the book states Ashwin Jamwal’s journey to become Prime Minister of India. Indian systems and politics is the main theme of this part. It covers the events which happened before Ashwin Jamwal became Prime Minister of India. Second part of the book describes the events that made Ashwin most powerful man in the world. Geopolitical position of India is the crux. This part takes a leap of 6 years. A psycho terrorist tightens his grip. International intelligence agencies under leadership of Ashwin Jamwal find a way to save the world from a preordained global crisis. Last part of the book revolves around the search for master manipulator as the mystery unfolds when the man behind Ashwin Jamwal surfaces for a tete-a-tete with him- An invitation for his destruction. The fast paced events in this part connect all the dots to disclose the master manipulator.

The BJP President Mr. Upadhyay stated that these genres of books really help people to get politically aware and are very vital to be read and understood. He added that being ignorant is a bad choice to make today.  On the other hand Meenakshi Lekhi praised the book for its contents and asked for a more ethical approach to politics despite the difficulties. Speaking about the theme of the book, Mr. Diwan Singh Bajeli said that such authors with adept understanding of world politics should be encouraged to produce more such works as being aware of the external stimuli affecting our lives is very important in the world full of information today.

Addressing to the media Aparna Sinha said, “I am extremely happy to launch my first book Ashvamedha. There are many versions and meanings of Ashvamedha, while some compared it with Sun and its might, the others have made it significantly derogatory. Whatever the meaning may be, its purpose was primarily to challenge other kingdoms. Its object was to establish supremacy; to showcase power.”

Aparna further added, “The Book is a work of fiction, but it is based on possibilities. Historical events, phenomenon in literature and ideologies have formed the basis of the events occurring in the book.”
