Australia win toss, elect to bat in first Test

Batting first, Australian were 100 for one against India in the opening Test of the two-match series at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Mohali on Friday.
Earlier, Australian skipper Ricky Ponting won the toss and decided to bat.
