Simar Malhotra is a 17 year old girl born and brought up in the city of New Delhi. She’s currently pursuing her International Baccalaureate Diploma Program from Step by Step International School, Jaipur. In the meanwhile she penned her first novel ‘There Is a Tide’. Simar also runs an NGO called Parvaah and, jointly collated a book launch for herself. The book will be unveiled by iconic lyricist Javed Akhtar. The launch event will be chaired by the Shri Ashok Chakradhar-Author, Poet & Padma Shree awardee, Shri  Vineet joshi IAS, Chairman, Central board of secondary education and Smt. Jayashree Periwal, eminent educationist.
