Toronto, Canada : The Backyard Urban Farm Co. (BUFCO) is excited to announce that on Sunday, May 3, 2015, they will be attending the 2nd annual Community Home Show to demonstrate how easy, fun, fresh and delicious it can be to grow your own food in your own backyard.

The Community Home Show is an annual event that was created to connect Toronto locals interested in home design, renovation, and improvement with local businesses that offer these services. As an exhibitor at the Community Home Show, Marc and Arlene co-owners of The Backyard Urban Farm Company, will be conducting informal workshops that teach local residents of Toronto how to build, plant and maintain their own edible gardens.

Spring is the perfect time to start planting. Many people may be surprised to learn that there are many cold hardy vegetables like kale, chard, arugula and bok choy that love cool temperatures and can be planted now. BUFCO will be selling certified organic seedlings at the Community Home Show so people can get growing this weekend!

Those who are interested in attending the 2nd Annual Community Home Show are invited to come to Artscape Wychwood Barns this Sunday between 11am – 4pm.
