  • Campaigning reaches its peak for 1st phase of Lok Sabha elections 2019

    Top leaders of various political parties are criss-crossing the country as only four days are left for campaigning to end for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections. 91 constituencies spread over 20 states and Union Territories will go to the polls in this phase on 11th April.

    Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address public meetings at Sundergarh and Sonepur in Odisha, Balod in Chhattisgarh and Nanded in Maharashtra today. Congress president Rahul Gandhi will address rallies at Srinagar, Almora and Haridwar in Uttarakhand.

    Assembly Elections in four states –  Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh and parts of Odisha will also be held on the 11th of this month. Scrutiny of nominations for the third phase of Lok Sabha elections was held yesterday.

    Monday is the last date for withdrawal of nominations. 115 seats, spread over 12 States and two Union Territories, will go to polls in this phase on the 23rd of this month.
