    SEBI allows brokers to use internet

    The Securities and Exchange Board of India, SEBI, has allowed registered brokers providing internet based trading in shares, to use wireless technology including mobile phones and laptops. In a circular SEBI has said that the stock exchange should ensure that the broker complies with the requirements of secure access, encryption and security of communication.
