    It is India’s highest score in a Test match. Nair became only the third player in Test history, and the first Indian, to turn his maiden ton into a triple century.

    After getting a comfortable lead of 282 runs in the first innings, the hosts asked England to bat. The visitors were 12 for no loss in their second innings at stumps. The English team are still trailing by 270 runs.
