  • CMR University Bengaluru Unveils Player’s Pavilion Block of CMRU Cricket Stadium

     Bengaluru – CMR University Bengaluru took a significant stride towards realising its vision of nurturing future cricketing talents with the inauguration of the Player’s Pavilion block at the CMRU Cricket Stadium.

    The unveiling ceremony, graced by esteemed dignitaries and luminaries from the cricketing world, marked a momentous occasion for the university and the broader cricketing community.

    The inaugural ceremony, held at the CMRU Lakeside Campus, Bagalur, welcomed Shri. Raghuram Bhat A, Honorary President of the Karnataka State Cricket Association and Former Indian Test Cricketer, as the Chief Guest, along with Shri. A. Shankar, Honorary Secretary of KSCA, as the Guest of Honour. The presence of distinguished personalities such as Dr. K.C. Ramamurthy, IPS (Retd.), Former Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, Chairman of CMR University and CMR Group of Institutions, added grandeur to the event.

    Also in attendance were Shri. Jayadeep K. R. Reddy, Pro-Chancellor of CMR University, and Sri.K. C Jagannadha Reddy, secretary of CMR Jnanadhara Trust.

    Continuing the inauguration, CMR University and KSCA signed an MOU to extend support and collaboration with each other. KSCA will use the ground for playing its matches.

    Shri. Raghuram Bhat wished all the best to the players and encouraged them to play the game with dedication and commitment. He offered CMRU his support and assistance and promised to engage with BCCI to facilitate national and international level matches at the CMRU cricket ground. Mr. Bhat in his address mentioned that there is a huge shortage of cricket grounds in Bangalore and this facility is a boon to the cricketing community.

    Shri. A. Shankar emphasised the need to offer a recognized degree in cricket coaching and scoring, suggesting CMR University shall develop one.

    Dr. K.C. Ramamurthy, in his speech, stated that CMRU has always strived to extend beyond conventional boundaries and provide holistic development to students, noting that the inauguration of the player’s pavilion adds to it.

    Designed by the globally acclaimed architect Mr. Sanjay Mohe, known for his unparalleled expertise in blending functionality, comfort, and aesthetics, the CMRU Cricket Stadium stands as a testament to architectural brilliance. With a vision to become one of the premier cricketing venues in Bangalore, the stadium is poised to host matches at both national and international levels.

    The inauguration of the Player’s Pavilion block heralds a new chapter in the journey of CMR University Bengaluru towards becoming a hub for sporting excellence and innovation. As the stadium gears up to host future cricketing events, it is poised to leave an indelible mark on the landscape of sports in India.
