CWG saga: CBI nabs Kalmadi aide

The CBI has arrested Deorukhar Shekhar—a close aide of former Chairman of CWG Organising Committee Suresh Kalmadi’s in Pune. Deorukhkar is the fifth person to be arrested in the CWG scam.
A CBI spokesperson said in New Delhi that the arrest comes after the investigating agency had registered a fresh case under various legal provisions in award of contracts for overlays at different venues for the Games at exorbitant rates. Deorukhkar has been Kalmadi’s PA for over 15 years.
