  • New Bedford, MA :Design Mark Industries , a leader in providing engineering-based solutions for production of precise user-interface technologies such as membrane switches, graphic overlays, rubber keypads, functional die cuts, control panel assemblies, custom plastic labels, and more, announces the relocation of its headquarters from Wareham to 22 Logan Street in New Bedford as of October 1.

Design Mark made the move in part as a result of its continued growth and expansion.  Its previous building was approximately 17,000 square feet; this new building – an old mill that dates back to 1881 and which has been completely renovated – is approximately 42,000 square feet.

Currently, Design Mark has 64 highly skilled employees.  The new location will additionally house the company’s four HP Indigo digital web and sheet-fed presses as well as high resolution screen and flexographic printing equipment. A cutting-edge finishing department along with laser, rotary, router and conventional die-cutting round out the efficiencies. Having the technology to print on virtually all paper and plastic substrates allows Design Mark to work with any industry.

The new location is in the center of New Bedford, right near the waterfront and with easy access to the area highways (1/4 mile from the 195 ramp and less than one mile from Route 140) and the proposed South Coast Rail.  The building features a beautiful open space office area with conference rooms, several file and storage rooms, partitioned offices, and cubicle space, as well as high ceilings with skylights that provide natural light. Design Mark plans to celebrate the new space with a ribbon-cutting early in 2022.  Additionally, the company is celebrating its 50th anniversary next month.

“New Bedford is known for its cultural heritage and strong work ethic, and we are very happy to increase our footprint and further develop our activities in this vibrant community,” said Renaud Megard, president and CEO of Design Mark Industries.

“We are constantly striving for ways to improve our processes and service to our customers,” Megard continued.  “By expanding into this new facility, we will have additional room to grow with our customers and to continue to bring in technologically advanced equipment that will allow us to expand our product offerings, which will help to keep our customers ahead of their competition.”
