Hyderabad: GOCL is incredibly honored to have contributed in the Chandrayaan-3 mission, marking a significant milestone in India’s space exploration endeavors. This historic mission is a testament to our commitment to advancing cutting-edge technology in the aerospace sector.
Our contribution to the Chandrayaan-3 mission involved the production of Special Purpose Motors (SPMs) and Igniter Grains (IGs) at the esteemed Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC/ISRO) in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. This collaborative endeavor, conducted under the GOCO Mode, spanned from April 2021 to June 2022.
During the tenure of this contract at VSSC, GOCL successfully delivered over 200 specialized Motors, with 2 of our S200(M) Igniters playing a critical role in the Chandrayaan-3 mission. These components are vital to the success and reliability of spacecraft propulsion systems.
Chandrayaan-3, India’s third lunar exploration mission, is a significant step in advancing our understanding of the moon’s surface and geological features.
