  • HackHeritage, the mega Hackathon at Heritage Institute of Technology witnessed 91 student teams participating

    Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata, organized a mega intra-college hackathon ‘HackHeritage’ which was participated by 91 student teams within various departments of the Institute. The Hackathon will continue till 2pm on 23rd September.

    The event was organized keeping in view the rules and regulations of Smart India Hackathon. Top 30 teams will be selected from HackHeritage who would represent Heritage Institute of Technology at Smart India Hackathon.

    “We wanted to give a simulation of how Smart India Hackathon takes place and apart from this, HackHeritage will give an opportunity to the students to learn and innovate which are very much necessary to win laurels at Smart India Hackathon. A competitive platform like HackHeritage will help us to select the right pool of talent who will represent our Institute at Smart India Hackathon,” said Prof. Joydeb Hazra, Department of CSBS and SPOC, Smart India Hackathon 2023 at HITK.

    “The event will help us to find the right students who can represent us at SIH 2023. The students are really working hard and giving their best. They are finding solutions to the real time problems which our Country is facing,” said Prof. Basab Chaudhuri, Principal, Heritage Institute of Technology, Kolkata.

    “There is a sea change in the field of education after the release of NEP 2020. Smart India Hackathon is a platform where students will give solutions to real time problems our Country is facing and thus theis platform is also paving the way towards an Atmanirbhar Bharat,” said Mr. P.K.Agarwal, CEO, Heritage Group of Institutions, who was also present during the inaugural ceremony of HackHeritage.
