Dubai : Dubai World Cup—- the world’s richest horse race competition —gets underway at Meydan, the Dubai Racing Club, today. The winner has a prize tag of a whopping $10 million. Seven other races bring the total cash up for grabs at $27 million.
For the final round, a maximum of 14 contestants will be in the fray for 2000-meter all-weather race. Canada’s Chantal Sutherland will make history as the first woman jockey to ride in competition.
One of the star attractions would be the International Hat Competition during the game today.
