  • New Delhi :  WCRC Leaders Asian Education Excellence Summit & Awards honoured International College of Fashion (ICF) with ‘Asia’s fastest growing private education institute’ award on January 9, 2014. Mr. Parvez Dewan, Secretary, Ministry of Mr. Parvez Dewan, Secretary, Ministry of tourism, Govt. of India & Mr Abhimanyu Ghosh, Editor-in-chief of WCRC Leaders Asia giving the award to  Ms. Vani Bajaj,Chief Mentor, ICFtourism, Govt. of India & Mr Abhimanyu Ghosh, Editor-in-chief of WCRC Leaders Asia gave away the award to the institute. KPMG in India has been the process advisor and evaluator for the research survey. Distinguished luminaries and senior government officials like Pervez Dewan, Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Pooran Chandra Pandey, Executive Director, United Nations Global Compact, Sunaina Tomar, Jt. Secretary, Ministry of Textiles, Ajay Tomar, IGP, BSF Punjab among others were present at the event as guests of honour who handed over the awards for Asia’s Best and Fastest Growing Private Education Institutes. The event saw the participation of a number of reputed private education institutes and top of the league academicians from Asia. Premier private education institutes like XLRI, SP Jain Institute of Management & Research, International College of Fashion (ICF), Asian College of Journalism, Gulf Medical University, The Doon School, Bangkok University attended the event.

    International College of Fashion (ICF), promoted by the Bajaj Capital Group offers various full time courses in fashion entrepreneurship both at the bachelors (BBA) and masters (MBA) level. It also offers a post-graduate diploma in fashion entrepreneurship which is affiliated to the University of Mysore and the Karnataka State Open University (KSoU). ICF also has a set of distance learning courses offering MBA in entrepreneurship (fashion) with PGDFE, a PGDFE and a diploma in fashion entrepreneurship.

    The event had a series of panel discussion sessions, themed around ‘Education creates Leaders’. Chancellors, principals, deans and directors of leading academic brands deliberated on various issues covering policy frameworks to academic quality improvement and placeability of graduates. The World Consulting & Research Corporation (WCRC), a multi-interest consulting, research and media conglomerate, played the host to the event which took place on the backdrop of the January 2014 issue of WCRC Leaders-Asia magazine. It has a special cover feature on Asia’s 100 best and fastest growing private education institutes.
