Raghuma Reddy Chairman and Managing Director, Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana also graced the occasion

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Goel said Conservation of Energy is the need of the hour.  Energy saved is Energy produced. Every room and house must have master switches similar to hotels to avoid wasting of power. Capacity Banks at Sub-station level will help save 7 to 8 per cent energy, Goel said.  Speaking further he said Electric Billing must be centralized similar to Mobile phone billing. This will help study power using pattern. When mobile phone billing is done remotely, why cant Electrical Power usage billing cant be done he asked.

While interacting with media, Raghuma Reddy said The problem for power shortage in Telangana are due to lack of power generation plants. Most of these are located in Andhra Pradesh.  While consumption is more in Telangana. That is why Telangana Government has put Power General Action plan in place.  This include 6000MW from Genco and 4000MW from NTPC.  These two companies put together 10000MW power will be ready in next three to four years.  Once that happens we will have self sufficient power for the Telangana state, he said.

Conservation of power is paramount importance Raghuma Reddy said.  We must use Star Rated equipment only.  Domestic customers save energy for the usage of industries.  We can think of Wind Energy. However, we can bank on Solar Energy.  It is the best alternative.  All the districts of Telangana have excellent Solar Radiation.  Hence, we recently called and finalized bids for 500 MW Solar Energy production. We have even placed purchase orders.  In next one and half year we will may get 1000MW Solar Energy.  Soon the Government of Telangana may also call for fresh tenders for 500WM Solar Power generation .  Similar, the Government of Telangana is actively pursing and encouraging roof top solar power production model and encouraging many houses to produce the prower. In and around GHMC are nearly 2000MW power is cosumed.  Through Roof Top Solar Generation method, we may private houses may generate nearly 200MW in GHMC limits he said.

The state has 20 lakh farmers. To supply solar motors for irrigation, we need Rs 50,000/- crore, which government cant invest. However, private players are keen in coming to help farmers, he said.

The two shows are organized in Association with TSSPDCL and TNREDC (Telangana New renewable Energy Development Corporation), ISLE, Indian Society for Premises Automation & Control; State Private Electrical Workers Association, Twin cities ‘B’ Grade Electrical Contractors, SESI, TECA, IWPA,  FSME India and others.

Bosch Ltd, Genret Energy Solutions, Four Solar, SPDCL, State Private Electrical Workers Assn, Green Secure Energy, Telangana Solar Energy Association, Powergen, OBO Bettermann, Arka Green Power Ltd, LV’s Hybrid Solar System for Houses, HPL Electric & Power Pvt. Ltd, Titan Power Grid, V-Lead Technologies, Amararaja Batteries, RB Power System and other have put up stalls.

Solar Powered ACs, Fans, Innovative Air-conditioning, Lighting, Solar Powered Toys, Solar Street Lights, Solar Systems for Houses, Energy Saving Ceiling Fans, Rooftop Solar, Solar Water Pump Controller, Earthing Equipment etc are highlights of the shows.

Today’s consumer is conscious. He understands the impact of his consumption on the environment and his future generations. He is willing to embrace Renewable Energy and its sources. Low Voltage Electrical Devices that work with low energy and yet deliver the same value are grabbing his attention.

HITEX presents the first ever exposition in Hyderabad dedicated to low voltage electricity devices. In keeping with the energy needs of our times, the event will bring under one roof the latest energy efficient, environment friendly and sustainable devices and products for the industrial and consumer markets.

By 2021, there will be a sweeping changes in Electrical Industrial scenario. The Consumption will increase to 1300 TWh from 700 TWh in 2011. The  Energy demand is expected to grow at 6% per annum. And Electricity capacity to expand by 100 GW. Growing Consumer Demand and Shortage in Supply paves way for huge opportunities for Energy Providing Companies, including those of alternative and     sustainable energy sources..  Thus, the exhibition is strategically chosen when the industry is willing to invest in alternative and low voltage resources.

Sixty exhibitors are exhibiting their products.  Some of these exhibitors include:  Distribution Equipment; Cabling and Wiring Products;  Insulation Materials; Package Transformer Sub-stations; Low-voltage Switching Devices; Robotics; Telecommunications; Safety Systems and Devices; Various types of lights—LED, Decorative, Garden & Campus etc; Energy Saving Devices;  Generators; Batteries and Cells; Uninterrupted Power Supply Equipment; Inverters;  Lifts & Escalators; Air-conditioning Systems; Fans; Voltage Stabilizers;  House & Building Automation; Facility Management;  Daylight Technology; Photovoltaic Systems; Security Systems & Devices and others.

People invest lakh in building but don’t take care of earthing.  Proper earthing can save short Circuit, Fire Accidents, Electrical Shocks, loss of life and equipment said Vinay Kumar Jain of OBO Bettermann.
