  • Indian women cricketers top ICC ODI ranking

    Indian women cricketers managed continue to top batting and bowling list in the ICC one day international ranking issued today.

    According to a statement of ICC, Mithali Raj is leading the batting chart in ODI Women’s rankings while Jhulan Goswami topping the bowling list issued today Mithali has 823 ranking points while Jhulan has 777 points.

    England’s Charlotte Edwards has also climbed up in the batting chart to third position despite her side losing the recently-concluded three-match ODI series in Australia.

    Australia’s all-rounder Lisa Sthalekar has climbed two places to occupy sixth place after a positive performance. The 31-year-old has also risen to third in the ICC ODI Women’s Player Rankings for bowlers while maintaining her second spot in the all-rounder rankings.

    Australia’s Shelley Nitschke, the ICC Women’s Cricketer of the Year 2010, has maintained her second position in the batting list. The ODI Women’s Player Rankings for all-rounders see no change with Nitschke topping the chart, while Sthalekar is in second spot and Taylor in third.
