  • KUL has donated over 50,000 plants on World Environment day

    Celebrating the World Environment Day for the seventh year in succession, leading developer KumarUrban development Limited (KUL) donated over 12,000 plants to the City.

    Of these, 10,000 plants were given to Pune MunicipalCorporation and 2,000 to the Pune Cantonment Board. These 12,000 plants in the city, after they grow fully, will help reduce carbon emissions by about 2646 kg and release approximately 2400 kg of oxygen per year.

    KUL organised the tree plantation programme at KULEcoloch township site at Mhalunge – Pune. Ecoloch incorporates green technology and energy saving features.

    Commenting on the company’s green initiatives, Ms.Kruti Jain, Director, KUL said, “We at KUL believe it is very important to be environmentally-conscious. Our initiative of planting samplings in the city is our endeavour to contribute towards the environmental health of the city. These saplings and trees will reduce carbon emissions to a greater extent, thereby making the city a cleaner and healthier place to live in.”

    Ms. Jainreiterated KUL’s commitment to continue aggressively with eco-friendly and ghreen projects.

    “We have donated over 50,000 saplings and trees to PUne city till date. We have supported the green environment act by using chemical-free and energy-sufficient ingredients across all our projects” said Ms.Jain.

    Mr. Lalitkumar Jain, Chairman and MD of KUL, is popularly known as the “Green man of  Pune”, thanks to his huge initiatives and contribution on green movement. As the Chairman of Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Pune chapter, he not just propagates but also incorporates the eco friendly practices in his projects to make them sustainable.
