One of the finest Indian luxury brands in the home décor space, The Home of the Traveler (curated by JJ Valaya) showcased a thirty year old Private Carpet Collection at their flagship store at Sultanpur in New Delhi on Wednesday, 21st May 2014. The event was held in association with The Wine Company, the food & beverage partners of the brand.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. JJ Valaya, Director, The Home of the Traveler, said, “In our ongoing quest to curate all thing beautiful and rare, I take great pleasure in presenting this beautiful private collection of over 30 years. I believe that it has such a stunning memory of our past that will make the present both, more romantic and more evolved.” Mr. TJ Singh, Director, The Home of the Traveler, was also delighted and said “As connoisseurs of collectibles and all things rare we are glad to present beautiful carpets from a private collection where carpets range back to 18th Century. We want to offer a mixed bag of unique finds and with MORE@THT, we aim to make all that accessible to our clients.”

The Home of the Traveler has on offer, a unique collection of carpets and textiles from the Caucasus to Samarkand. These carpets are crafted from wool and are available in interesting colour combinations that include oxidized red, green, blue, brown, white, beige, indigo, and yellow. The collection will be available at the store for 15 days, from 22nd May to 5th June 2014.
