Mumbai : Global snack manufacturer, Mondelez International, has chosen MetricStream, the market leader in enterprise-wide Governance, Risk, Compliance (GRC) and Quality Management Solutions for global corporations, to provide a comprehensive solution for quality audit and material traceability management. Deployed and managed from their audit headquarters in Munich, Germany, the solution will be used across the global enterprise, integrating thousands of suppliers and hundreds of internal and external manufacturers within a single and centralized framework.

Mondelez International (Formerly Kraft Foods Inc.) is one of the world’s largest snack food manufacturers with global net revenues of $35 billion USD in 2012. The company is ranked No. 1 in the world in Biscuits, Chocolate, Candy, and Powdered Beverages, and ranked No. 2 in Gum and Coffee. The company is home to over 10,000 employees and owns 9 billion-dollar brands, and 52 other brands which each generate annual revenues in excess of $100 million. These brands are marketed in 165 countries.

The solution will manage and streamline end-to-end audit processes, including supplier, internal, and external manufacturer audits, as well as third party evaluations, supplier onboarding, and material traceability programs. The MetricStream solution will also provide a supplier portal for Mondelez International to enhance communication with suppliers by enabling both suppliers and external manufacturers to register, maintain, and modify their profiles and view their performance scores. It also allows external manufacturers to submit data on raw materials supplied, including their origin and supplier’s information to provide Mondelez’s quality teams with the required visibility into material traceability.

“We are very pleased to have Mondelez International as a customer,” said Keri Dawson, VP Industry Solutions and Advisory Service at MetricStream. She continued, “With many recent incidents around food safety and contamination, it’s becoming increasingly critical for global food companies to strengthen their product quality and safety measures. However, this is not easy, especially as organizations and their supply chains grow larger, more diverse, and more complex. MetricStream solutions are designed specifically to help companies successfully navigate today’s business landscape and address these challenges with an integrated focus. With MetricStream, many top food companies have been able to simplify and strengthen their food quality and safety processes, enhance transparency and traceability, while also reducing inefficiencies.”
