Mumbai: After a successful launch of Musiqui IKL (Indian Karaoke League) in Mumbai by Sonu Nigam and Pt. Suresh Wadkar, IKL announces it’s first National School and College championships.

Musiqui is India’s first ever and biggest Karaoke platform where anyone and everyone can sing his or her heart out without any restrictions.

This IKL College Champs and IKL School Stars is a nationwide hunt for the best Karaoke singing college and school, and the sole purpose of this platform is to encourage students across all the regions and all age groups to Let Go their singing inhibitions. It gives opportunity to sing at the same time, win the coveted title of National championship for their School and/or college.

IKL aims to build a music community in its true sense and that is why, it has now opened the game at these two separate levels. This competition is for all school & college students where they will not only be recognized as singers but will also get an opportunity to move to the next step and turn into professional singers themselves.

It is extremely important for art and culture departments of schools and colleges to encourage their students to participate because IKL championships can be the best way to gain stage confidence in a safe professional environment. More importantly, many students dream of becoming a singer but the music industry is a difficult place to break into. IKL Championships can give that much needed break. It is also a great platform to be seen by industry professionals like Sonu Nigam, Pt. Suresh Wadkar, Shameer Tandon  and the likes which can help these students gain a lifetime exposure and turn their dreams into reality.

And if this was not enough, IKL Championship has also announced cash prizes for top three winning Schools as well as Colleges along with trophy and certificates. Winners of each of these levels will be rewarded with First cash prize: INR 1 Lac, Second cash prize: INR 50,000 and Third cash prize: INR 25,000.

There is more to come. The winners will get guidance directly from Pt. Suresh Wadkar and Sonu Nigam to help fuel their aspirations and launch their singing career.

Pt. Suresh Wadkar who has been a teacher and mentor believes strongly in platforms like the IKL.  Speaking on the occasion, Pt. Suresh Wadkar said “Being a teacher and Mentor for many decades, I have noticed that only talent and music education is not enough for professional success. An artist also needs a professional platform that will offer an opportunity to showcase all they have. Musiqui is a perfect platform for anyone with a music artist inside.”

Sonu Nigam, a singer beyond comparison, too supports the idea of IKL and added that, “Music has ceased to remain a profession or a hobby of a few and with the advent of technology, has facilitated more people to enjoy being called a singer.
