‘Veni’, a garland of flowers by the renowned poet Kalidasa, is the fascinating inspiration behind the NIKASHA Bridal & Festive Collection 2012/13.

A land of diverse tunes and cultures, India celebrates weddings with colourful flowers and myriad hymns. This collection by Nikasha recreates the Indian bridal festivities through ethnic weaves inspired by the warm colours of celebratory Indian flowers. Each ensemble reflects the cheer of song and dance that is so significant to a traditional wedding. The sweet soulful smells of sandalwood, perfumed hair and pristine lotuses, each inspiring element is made immortal in this beautiful collection.

Nikasha’s collection embodies a vintage feel with a rhapsody of colours coming alive through the interplay of fabrics and prints. The use of light silks, chiffons and muls in combination colours like Red, turquoise, coral splashed with a hint of embroidery makes every garment look sensuous. Simple silhouettes with classic cuts; the collection is meticulously styled with breath taking details. Her core look is global with ethnic craft.
