Sangli based NGO Rajarambapu Dnyan Prabodhini took to crowdfunding on ImpactGuru.com to help victims affected by the Sangli Floods. In 2 days, the NGO has managed to raise over Rs. 9.60 lakhs through crowdfunding on ImpactGuru.com.

Funds raised will be utilized for purchase of blankets, carpets, clothes; distribution of food grains; reconstruction of the victim’s houses; construction of animal shelter and distribution of animal feed and medicine for flood affected families in Sangli.

 The number of people evacuated in the Sangli district is approximated at around 53,000 so far along with thousands of animals. In such desperate times, the people and animals of Sangli require attention and help. The region has never experienced this severe flooding hence they were unprepared and the loss of property and farmland is unimaginable.
